Cameron Summers is a trumpeter, educator, composer, and arranger based in Los Angeles, CA. His musical appearances include a live performance at the Grammy Awards Ceremony with the Foo Fighters, an American Wind Symphony Orchestra tour of the United States, a solo appearance on the CBS Early Show, second prize at the National Trumpet Competition in Washington D.C., and performance credits on Grammy-nominated recordings. He is an alumnus of the Disneyland All-American College Band and the Henry Mancini Institute, and has performed or recorded with artists such as Jon Faddis, Ravi Coltrane, David Liebman, Joe Lovano, Christian McBride, Tommy Igo, Scott Wendholt, and Bob Florence among others.
Summers is a dedicated educator, teaching privately and at various institutions in the Los Angeles area. His own education includes earning a masters degree in Jazz Trumpet on full scholarship from the Manhattan School of Music, as well as graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Christian University. |
