The Cameron Summers TechTet is a jazz trio exploring future visions of music performance. By fusing live jazz with advanced technology created by Summers, who has a track record for innovation and high-level music performance, the group is pushing the boundaries of musical innovation. Where commercial A.I. development looks to replace the skill required for making art, the technology created by Summers aims to elevate that skill for new, meaningful experiences with music.

Jazz provides a perfect environment for new ideas given its broad scope, rich tradition of innovation, and spontaneous interactions between musicians. As music has become so highly "produced" that live concerts are anything but, the TechTet leans into amplifying with technology the core sounds and musicianship that lay the foundation of our musical heritage. In addition to the Techtet's high-level performance, Summers aims to engage audiences through educational activities in music and technology.

The TechTet was born out of Summers' dual background as an A.I. researcher for the music recording industry and as a top-class performer. The group's repertoire features a selection of jazz standards and original compositions for bass, drums, and Summers on trumpet or piano. Further, Summers' technology supports multichannel, spatialized audio for an immersive experience in spaces equipped with this feature.
